Welcome to the Flappy Bird Leaderboard ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our leaderboard service connected to the Flappy Bird Garmin Connect IQ app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you submit a score:

Game Data

  • Score: The score you achieved in the game.
  • Timestamp: The date and time when the score was achieved.
  • Device Information: Your Garmin device model and a unique device identifier.
  • Player Name: The name you choose to enter (optional).

Location & Network Data (via Cloudflare)

When your device communicates with our servers, we utilize data provided by Cloudflare's edge network to approximate your location. This is done automatically based on your IP address. We store:

  • City, Region, Country, and Coordinates: General location data provided by Cloudflare for score uploads.
  • Anonymous Visit Statistics: Country-level visit counts and page paths. We use a hashed IP marker to count a visitor once without storing or publishing the raw IP address.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Leaderboard Display: To rank players globally and display high scores.
  • Visualization: To map scores on our interactive 3D globe, visualizing where players are competing from around the world.
  • Statistics: To analyze player distribution and device popularity, and to display anonymous aggregated visit statistics by country or region.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in our database. We do not collect personal contact information like email addresses or phone numbers. The location data is approximate and used solely for the visual features of the leaderboard. Anonymous visit analytics are shown only as aggregate totals and do not expose raw IP addresses, user agents, or individual browsing histories.
